Modupay and Banque Misr Enable ATM Access for FinTech Cards

Modupay is expanding fintech access to traditional banking infrastructure in Egypt through a new integration with Banque Misr. The move highlights the growing convergence between banks and fintech platforms as they work together to enhance accessibility and scale digital financial services.

Payments technology provider Modupay has expanded its collaboration with Banque Misr by introducing direct ATM integration that allows fintech cards sponsored by the bank to access its nationwide ATM network.

The new integration connects fintech programs processed through Modupay’s platform with Banque Misr’s ATM infrastructure across Egypt. As a result, cardholders using fintech cards issued under Banque Misr sponsorship can now perform a range of banking services through the bank’s ATMs.

These services include cash withdrawals, balance inquiries, PIN creation and changes, mini statement generation, and deposits at supported machines. The integration provides fintech cardholders with access to the same ATM capabilities typically available to customers using traditional bank-issued cards.

The direct connection between Modupay’s platform and Banque Misr’s ATM systems enables faster transaction processing, improved reliability, and secure real-time communication between both systems. The infrastructure is also designed to support future expansion of services as fintech programs continue to grow and introduce new financial products.

The development reflects the ongoing growth of digital financial services in Egypt and highlights the increasing collaboration between banks and fintech platforms to deliver more accessible and user-focused financial solutions. By enabling fintech cardholders to use established banking infrastructure, the partnership helps strengthen the country’s digital payments ecosystem and supports wider financial inclusion.
